Auto Parts

Will there be a handling fee for my order?

YES. This fee will cover packaging materials needed to provide safe arrival of your purchase. This is typically included with our shipping charge.

Receipt of Damaged Product?

If you receive a part that is damaged, you must sign for the shipment as "received damaged". The shipping company will then be responsible for the damaged part. After signing for and receiving the part, contact us by phone (800-366-1798) and someone will assist you with the damage claim and part replacement process. Please have your invoice number available when you call or email us.

If a part doesn’t fit, can I return it?

Yes. However there is a 20% Re-Stocking Fee and you pay for return shipping. We also don't refund the original shipping costs. Must have original reciept. No returns accepted on electrial or special order parts.

What kind of Parts does Rick’s carry?

New Parts

We also have access to new auto parts, through various suppliers, and can even get you stock parts through your vehicle's manufacturer; often at discounted rates.  Please give us a call at 1.800.366.1798 and we'll get you what you need.

What is a part interchange?

A part interchange is a way of matching parts to your exact vehicle.  Although you may have your vehicle make, model and year, it is best to have the VIN number available to determine if the manufacturer used different parts across different series of the vehicle.  We can then use all of this information to assure you get the right part, without hassle.

How do I find a part?

Use our online part search to quickly and easily browse our warehouse inventory.  We examine and inventory every part on every car, using an advanced inventory computer system that is available to you, right now, to search for your part.  If we don't have your part in our inventory, chances are we can find the place that has it, and get it for you.

What should I do if I have not received my order?

If you have waited 10 days for normal delivery and have not received your order, please contact someone in our sales staff (800-366-1798)

Who receives my emails?

E-mail requests will be sent directly to our expert customer-service team to be answered. Requests should include detailed questions about part orders, or inquiries for parts that either do not have a part interchange, or are not ordinarily in inventory. Please be as detailed as possible, and make sure to include the VIN, name of the part you are looking for, and any other relevant information that may be useful such as a part number. Feel free to ask any questions you may have - we try to help you with any part you may need.

Shipping

What shipping services do you ship through?

The main method of shipping Rick's Used Auto Parts uses is UPS ground. We ship 95% of our items via UPS ground.  Our shipping departments are setup to use only UPS. When items are larger we will use one of our trusted freight carriers. Motors, transmissions, seats, set of wheels and tires and other oversized parts will be shipped using commercial freight. The costs to ship these types of items start from $100 and can exceed $1,000 for complete engine with transmissions. In most cases these items will be placed and banded on 4x4 or 6x6 pallets and covered or wrapped. We must ship these parts to a commercial address with docking and forklift capabilities. If you do not have this available, we can ship the items to the closest freight terminal to your zip code. We do not ship freight items to residential areas. You must supply your phone number, name of business and address of business. If you do not supply this your order will be delayed.

Can I arrange my own shipping?

We prefer to select delivery method / carrier. We ship all small packages on UPS,  and we have selected our commercial carriers very carefully in order to provide the best USA coverage and care for our products. Buyer/Customer can arrange there own commercial shipping when purchasing items, please tell our sales representative at time of purchase.

Do you ship internationally, to Canada, or outside the US?

Rick's Used Auto Parts will ship parts virtually anywhere. Additional charges may apply, all sales are made in US dollars.

Why was my order delayed?

Your order was likely delayed because Rick's Used Auto Parts is missing important information needed to process your order.

  • Phone number must be provided.
  • If freight item (seats, engines, transmissions, running boards, bumpers, etc.) we must have business name, physical address, and daytime telephone number or we can not ship.
  • We will not ship to a PO Box or an APO.
  • There may be a possible problem with your payment and information supplied for the payment.
  • Wrong contact information was supplied and could not get ahold of customer.
When can I expect delivery of my auto parts order?

You can expect most packages to be delivered to their destination within FIVE to TEN (5 to 10) BUSINESS DAYS!

Orders are processed within 24 business hours after full payment has been received and items will leave our facility within 2 business days after processing.

We collect certain data from our customers from time to time and we'd like to take this opportunity to inform you on what information is captured, stored, and used based on your consent.

We collect and store personal data when you shop our online merchandise store.  When you make a purchase on our website, you're required to enter certain information, such as your Shipping and Billing information (no payment information is ever stored on our servers, such as credit or debit cards, only names, emails, addresses and phone numbers).  This information is stored securly on our server for filing purposes.  You can moderate this information yourself by accessing your account at any time via the "My Account" link on the Merchandise page.  This information is never shared with any third party except for the following:

  1. When you attempt to buy a product from us, you must enter in your Shipping and Billing information, which is stored on our server and then passed onto PayPal.  Once at PayPal, you must enter in your Payment information (debit/credit) to pay for our products.  PayPal uses this information to complete the transaction and notify us of it's success or failure.  They do not send any credit card or debit card information back to us, ever.
  2. Rick's never stores credit, debit, or any other similar payment information on our website, ever.
  3. Rick's does not share customer information with any third party except in the attempt to complete or refund a transaction for a purchase made through our website.
  4. We may email you from time to time to inform of order updates and or other order information. 

We will also inform you of any changes to this document that will impact the privacy of your information, as it is required by law.

Product Safety

All used merchandise must be inspected by the buyer for defect or safety hazards. Seller states that he in no way guarantees or warrants used merchandise for apparent or no apparent safety hazards and affirmatively states that used merchandise sold may have safety hazards and it is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect for actual or latent safety hazards or hire an expert to so inspect.

Terms Apply
These terms apply to all sales: cash, charge, retail, wholesale or otherwise.
Exchange and Core Charges
Some mechanical parts are sold on an exchange basis only – subject to a core charge at time of sale. Redemption of this charge will be made with a copy of the original invoice and complete assembled parts. Core charges forfeited in 20 days. All fluid containing cores MUST BE DRAINED.
Desposits
All deposits are non-refundable with the exception being a warranty claim.
Neglected Desposits
Parts and deposits left for over 20 days shall be forfeited.
Final Sales
All sales are final on the following: specially cut parts, specially ordered parts or “UPULL” parts.
Charge accounts

Charge accounts past due are subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annual rate) which will be applied to the outstanding balance. Customer also agrees to pay reasonable attorney fees and/or collection fees.

Returned Checks
Customer agrees to pay $50.00 fee for returned checks. If turned over for collection, customer agrees to pay reasonable attorney and/or collection fees related to any type of check not honored by or returned by the bank for any reason.
Seller Liability

We will NOT assume any towing charges, labor charges, related parts, fluids, or gaskets for installation or re-installation.

We reserve the right

We reserve the right to decline returns, exchange parts, issue credit, or refund money on any transaction.

Restocking Fee

Any merchandise, (at seller’s sole discretion), accepted for a non-warranty return is subject to a twenty (20%) percent restocking charge and must bear Rick’s Used Auto Parts I.D. markings and must be presented within twenty (20) days of date of purchase.

Vehicles

Vehicle Disposal
  1. We must have a valid title that is free of liens and is transferable with payment going to the registered name on the title. 
  2.  Please be prepared to give us the 17 digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) which will provide us with needed information that you may not know quickly. We can figure out many things by the VIN. 
  3.  We will consider all types of vehicles from the oldest unused damaged, broken down or unused vehicle to the most current brand new vehicle with minor to major collision damage.
  4.  If the vehicle has documented major repairs, please let us know that and be willing to provide the documentation to support these repairs. These things may be considered in our bid process. 
  5.  Vehicles can not be piled with garbage and extra rubble; they must be cleaned out of “extras” before our towing services will pick them up.
  6.  We will work with you to match a schedule to pick up your vehicle or if you can bring it to us, it might help the deal be better for you.
  7.  We are interested in vehicles with minor repairable damage also, all vehicles will be considered.

Warranty

All parts come with a limited 90 day warranty

All parts come with a limited 90 day warranty from the date of purchase unless specified differently below. Terms of sale apply to all parts. Warranty VOID if parts are altered, disassembled, or overheated. Labor NOT warranted.
